The Seed: 1-page WordPress Website

Maybe you don’t need anything fancy – you just need a landing page to hold all of your information. If that’s you, here’s where you start.

  • A Google Doc explaining all the areas of your website (design, SEO, functionality) and how you can improve them

Website updates: $75/hour

Just need some updates to your existing website? No problem! Updates are $75 an hour with a 1-hour minimum. Let me know what you need below! Available for WordPress and Squarespace.

FAQ

Here’s the general process:

  1. We start with a discovery call to make sure you’re picking the package that matches your needs and goals.
  2. I send you a contract and invoice for booking. Once you’ve signed the contract and paid your 50% deposit, you’ve got a spot on my calendar.
  3. Before we can start, I’ll need a completed welcome questionnaire, your copy, and your branding.
  4. We get to work. I’ll complete your website in a staging area and send it to you periodically. You get up to 3 revision rounds. Additional rounds are $75.
  5. Once you’re happy, I publish your site!

I work exclusively with WordPress for building. Learn why here. For website audits and updates, I work with WordPress and Squarespace.

I use Dubsado for invoicing, and I accept secure payment through credit cards and bank transfers. Payments are broken up into two payments: 50% to book and 50% due the day of your website launch.

In order to launch a WordPress website, you’ll need to purchase the following:

  • Hosting plan (I recommend Dreamhost)
  • Domain (your website name – businessname.com – I recommend Namecheap)

Your final cost for this will depend on which plan and service provider you choose.

Optional expenses for a website may include:

  • Professional branding
  • Copywriting
  • Photos (both professional photos of you and stock photos – I personally love Styled Stock Society!)
  • Premium font licensing

I don’t currently offer custom branding, but I do have four different branding kits that you can add on for $500. You’ll get a logo plus variations, colors, and fonts.

I don’t do full copy, but I’m an experienced copyeditor, and I can go through your copy and make sure it works for you. How much copyediting you get depends on your package.

Seed: None

Sapling: Minor copyediting – I’ll edit for clarity and grammar

Tree: Full copyediting – I’ll edit for grammar, clarity, and SEO, as well as give content suggestions

There are really two types of themes: free and premium. A premium theme comes with a price tag, but it’s typically prettier and has more customization options. The level of theme and customization you get depends on your package. I work with Genesis and Kadence themes, and I throw yours in for free. Don’t worry. If you decide to book, I’ll walk you through it.

If you want to cancel after booking, you will get your 50% deposit back as long as you cancel more than 14 days ahead of your start date. If your design period is less than 14 days away, it’s up to my discretion whether or not to issue a partial refund.

WordPress does take a little getting used to, but it’s ultimately the easiest platform to use. To help, I’ve created a WordPress guide that you get free with every package.
